Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Shipping & Receiving:

Load trucks with finished/unfinished goods by hand or forklift.

Trucks with inbound deliveries which need to be reloaded should be dispatched within two hours unless the product is not available.

Expedite urgent loads to customers and other company locations when necessary.

Ensure all shipments (Residential, LTL (Less than Truck Load), UPS, Retail and Worksaver) are loaded and packed correctly.

All loads must be secured correctly using buckle or ratchet strapping as per standards.

Ensure all Bills of Lading (BOL) are signed, dated and paperwork is placed in the signed BOL’s folder for processing.

Check serial numbers, size, color and configuration of particular loads.

Every shipment must be recorded with pictures as follows: Back of the trailer for full loads with both doors of the trailer being open and for multiple drop loads pictures must be taken of the last stack/box for each individual order. The second picture of the order is the BOL. Pictures must be taken of each load, taken properly and must be clear. All trailers must be sealed and have the correct packing list.

Maintain a clean and safe working area per 5(S) standards; clean outside dock areas to ensure on/off loading can be accomplished safely.

(Supervisor/Manager) – No supervisory responsibilities required.

Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.

Education and Experience

Forklift certification may be required and can be obtained onsite.

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required

Must have effective oral and written communication skills.

Competent math skills.

Ability to perform duties independently with minimal supervision.

Ability to use copier, calculator, electronic scales, etc.

Ability to keep all product/material in its proper place at all times, including racks, production floor, and staging areas.

Must wear all required Personal Protective Equipment.

Must be able to push/pull equipment up to 100lbs.

Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
