How you'll contribute · Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisor and other team members; instruct patient's family or nursing staff in follow-through programs · Assist with patient scheduling and post charges daily to patient records · Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer and accrediting requirements · Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition · Handle job responsibilities in accordance with the standards of the Company's Code of Business Conduct, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, appropriate professional standards and applicable state/federal laws

Qualifications and requirements: · Candidates must have certification from the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) · Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program culminating in an Associate's degree · Current and valid state OTA license or certificate of practice or equivalent in the states where services are rendered · CPR certification (when required)

Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) Position Summary The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) provides direct patient care under the supervision of an occupational therapist, assisting with therapeutic interventions and documentation while supporting quality and compliance standards in rehabilitation services. Essential Functions Communicate patient progress or concerns to the supervising occupational therapist and interdisciplinary team. Instruct patients' families or nursing staff in follow-through programs and home exercises. Assist with patient scheduling and post treatment charges to patient records daily. Document patient care accurately and in accordance with all regulatory, licensing, payer, and accrediting requirements. Maintain treatment equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition. Ensure compliance with the Company's Code of Business Conduct, Corporate Compliance Agreement, and applicable laws and professional standards. Perform other duties as assigned. Additional Information Must demonstrate strong communication, time management, and clinical documentation skills. Familiarity with electronic medical records preferred. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities License: Licensed and eligible to practice as a COTA in the state where services are rendered. Certifications: CPR certification required.
