Our District Support Pharmacists (DSPs) play a critical role in cultivating a culture of excellence within each pharmacy by acting as a role model, demonstrating genuine care, and setting the bar for the pharmacy team. Responsibilities
As a DSP, cover pharmacist scheduling gaps within the district under the direction of the Pharmacy Manager (PM) and Rx District Leader (DL) to support our pharmacy teams; be accountable for supporting the management, oversight, and operation of the pharmacy and pharmacy team. Travel the district to fill pharmacist shifts as scheduled by the District Performance Coordinator (DPC); oversee the pharmacy and serve as the Pharmacy Manager\'s proxy during bench shifts without overlap. Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following and directing the pharmacy team to follow workflow procedures and utilizing safety guardrails at every workstation. Assume the Pharmacy Manager\'s day-to-day duties when serving as the only or primary pharmacist-on-duty. Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care, coaching the pharmacy team to do the same, collaborating with the patient\'s total healthcare team, and proactively resolving insurance and/or medication issues. Proactively offer and deliver immunizations to keep patients healthy; engage and support Pharmacy Technicians to learn to immunize. Support effective management of pharmacy inventory across pharmacies by following and guiding the team to follow inventory best practices with a focus on protecting cold chain products. Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs, while contributing to a safe, inclusive, and engaging team dynamic. Maintain relevant clinical and technical skills for the job as the industry evolves, including company-required trainings and CMEs; actively seek opportunities to expand knowledge to better support patients. Support access to care and patient outcomes through pharmacist-delivered clinical care such as testing and prescribing services (e.g., COVID/Flu, Hormonal Contraception) where permissible; empower the pharmacy team to provide holistic care at every step in the patient care journey. Understand and comply with all relevant federal and state laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles; comply with CVS Health policies and procedures to support patient safety and privacy; maintain a safe and inclusive workplace. Active Pharmacist License in the state where the store is located Active National Provider Identifier (NPI) Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list Essential Functions
Ability to travel within a reasonable radius to support market staffing as business needs require Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe Attention and Focus
Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time Ability to pivot quickly from one task to another to meet patient and business needs Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy, ensuring patient safety

Communication Skills

Ability to use math to solve problems such as determining total tablets, days\' supply, and number of bottles needed to fill a prescription

Identify challenging patient or colleague interactions and choose the best course of action when faced with multiple options
Physical Demands
Be mobile and upright for extended periods; lift, scan, and bag items; reach overhead and move items; perform repetitive finger movements Extend arms to place, move, or lift items; control precision; bend at the waist; close visual acuity for tasks such as transcription, computer use, reading, and inspection of small parts Occasionally lift up to 20 lbs; frequently lift up to 10 lbs; exert negligible to light force as needed Communicate detailed information verbally and receive detailed information through oral communication

Anticipated Weekly Hours: 40 Time Type: Full time Pay Range: $65.00 - $79.00 per hour (base pay; final offer depends on experience, geography, and other factors).
