Ambulatory Surgery Center
in Tinley Park. Here, you will have a wide range of access to protected health information ("PHI") and understand the importance of confidentiality regarding all patient information pursuant to HIPAA policies and procedures. This position is a 100% onsite opportunity. You will need to be based in the greater Chicagoland area. Under the supervision of a Nurse Manager and direction of a staff nurse, Operating Room Technicians: Participate in the intra-operative care of a patient in surgery Complies with Same Day Surgery operating room philosophy, policies and procedures; supports the Vision and Mission Scrubs or performs various surgical procedures under the direction of a registered nurse Provides equipment and supplies based on surgeon\'s needs in performing procedures Assists the circulating registered nurse on assigned cases Communicates effectively Participates in educational activities Demonstrates personal and professional responsibility Participates in creating an atmosphere of mutual trust, acceptance, recognition and respect Rotation to Sterile Processing Department when assigned Required Qualifications: Completion of recognized surgical technologist course or hospital trained Eligible for certification of AORT. Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) Minimum one year of experience in an operating room setting. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with eye, orthopedic arthroscopy, GI procedures preferred Positive attitude, excellent customer service and teamwork Position Details Job Type/FTE: Part-Time (0.5 FTE) Shift: Days (8-hour shifts) Work Location: Onsite Unit/Department: Ambulatory Surgery Center CBA Code: Non-Union Why Join Us
