We are seeking a Computational Chemist to join our team as a Product Scientist. In this high-impact role, you will collaborate directly with our partners’ drug discovery teams, helping them leverage our platform to its fullest while acting as a computational thought partner for their programs. You’ll partner closely with our internal machine learning and software engineering teams to continuously enhance our technology.
What you’ll do:
Lead meetings with drug discovery teams at our partners to help them leverage our platform and to act as a thought partner for their programs
Join business development calls with potential partners to act as a scientific leader and domain expert
Be a first point of contact for our partners’ technical and product questions
Collaborate with our partners to write publications for journals and conferences
Represent the voice of our drug discovery partners internally by providing feedback on the product and strategy
Apply your expertise toward strategic leadership of Inductive’s scientific, technical, and business roadmap
Work with the Inductive team to establish the broader Application Science function at Inductive and think through how it will grow over time
Who you are: You have a Ph.D. in chemistry or closely-related discipline and at least 5 years of drug discovery experience in industry
You are an expert in one or more subfields of Computational Chemistry or Cheminformatics (e.g. structural modeling, molecular dynamics, free-energy perturbation, machine learning)
You are an outstanding verbal and written communicator and are comfortable leading external meetings and speaking at conferences
You care deeply about accelerating humanity’s ability to bring innovative drugs to patients
You are excited to chart the course of a fast-growing startup while collaborating deeply with a cross-disciplinary team of medicinal chemists, machine learning engineers, software engineers, and business professionals
