The Lease Accounting & Analysis Team is part of Microsoft’s Corporate Accounting organization, responsible for the accounting, analysis and reporting of all lease transactions in the Company’s 10Q and 10K in accordance with ASC842 and supporting compliance with the Company’s IFRS16 reporting requirements. Prepares and reviews lease accounting records in compliance with accounting policies and guidelines. Prepares and reviews lease inputs into financial statements and drafts disclosures for regulatory accounting filings. Fields complex questions from business partners in alignment with accounting standards, guidelines, and policies accounting policies. Contributes to process-improvement efforts by collecting and reviewing business partner and team feedback and incorporating industry best practices. Identifies, evaluates, and leverages technology that could automate or speed up internal processes. Performs gap analysis and helps business process owners design, implement and perform operational and financial controls for Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) cycles. Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting/Finance, or related field AND 4+ years accounting or finance experience OR Master's Degree in Business, Accounting/Finance, or related field AND 3+ years accounting or finance experience OR equivalent experience 1+ year(s) working with a large Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system Additional or preferred qualifications Lease accounting, administration and analyses, and controls for multinational companies transacting in multiple currencies Advanced skills in applications such as Excel and PowerBI Lease accounting and adminstration tool experience such as Costar and Tririga Microsoft is an equal opportunity employer.
