Dragonfly, part of Dow Jones, is a specialist provider of global security and geopolitical risk intelligence. We support businesses, international organisations and public-sector clients with actionable, all-source intelligence, meeting their requirements from conflict zones to the boardroom.
About the Role:
The Associate analyst on Americas desk is responsible for delivering high-quality intelligence analysis on threats and risks in the Americas to SIAS clients - predominantly North America.
You Will:
Undertake and deliver the highest standards of regional security and geopolitical intelligence research, analysis, written reports, data visualisations and client briefings/presentations and other products to agreed deadlines for clients.
Develop and maintain our resources, including human intelligence sources, subcontractors, data feeds and open source networks.
Be a strong and collaborative team player and proactive in dealing with day-to-day operational tasks and ensuring team and regional desk delivery demands are met.
Collaborate with regional analysts, data scientists, and engineering and design teams to help develop decision-support tools and enhance our proprietary global risk rating system and other products.
Develop our capabilities to collect insights on regional risk issues and apply applying multidisciplinary approaches and in-house methodologies to generate analytical insight and foresight
Provide responsive customer service and develop positive working relationships with clients and prospects.
You Have:
Experience in political risk, security intelligence, or regional affairs related to the Americas, particularly the United States. Ideally 2-4 years of experience.
Demonstrated ability to produce written assessments, briefings, and project work to deadline and a professional standard
Strong research skills, including open-source investigation and familiarity with data-driven analysis tools
Experience in a collaborative environment with strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build productive relationships to deliver on goals
An undergraduate degree or higher in international relations, political science, or a relevant field
Regional language skills or first-hand professional experience in Latin America and the Caribbean is a plus
