Real Estate Attorney – Associate/Counsel/Jr. Partner – Am Law 100 Firm

About the Position: We are working with a dynamic and growth-focused Am Law firm that has an immediate need for a real estate attorney (6+ yrs experience) to join its Chicago office as an associate, counsel, or junior partner (no business required). This Chambers-ranked real estate group is a core practice of the firm and handles all aspects of real estate deals, from acquisition through development, debt and equity financing, leasing and disposition. Highlights: Opportunity to work directly with the head of the real estate group and gain hands-on experience Chambers-ranked real estate practice that has also earned recognition by the Legal 500 and Best Law Firms publications Ranked by Vault Law as a top law firm to work in the Midwest Recognized by the Human Rights Campaign Corporate Equality Index for LGBTQ+ Workplace Equality Responsibilities: Assist with a range of legal services throughout the life cycle of real estate transactions, including leasing, acquisition, disposition, development, and finance Draft and negotiate real estate agreements, closing documents, and post-closing development documents Required Qualifications: 6 or more years of transactional real estate experience, including real estate finance law Experience with a wide variety of real estate agreements including purchase and sale, leasing, property management, and development agreements Joint venture experience preferred Borrower side financing and fund experience preferred Large law firm experience Strong academic credentials as well as writing and communication skills No portable business is required for candidates joining at the junior partner level Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid) Compensation: The anticipated base salary range for this position starts at $200,000
