Accounts Payable Accountant
to work onshore at our Georgetown Shore base. Role purpose
Role purpose:
The Accounts Payable Accountant will provide support to the General Accountant Lead and the wider finance team by managing financial obligations to vendors and suppliers. Responsibilities
CORE FUNCTIONS: Accounting: Review, monitor and liaison with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination of payments and reduce delays to processing. Manage communications with vendors to resolve discrepancies or queries, as well as to ensure timely submission of invoices. Prepare reports on aged debt and provide insights on payment status. Identify inefficiencies with processes and draft recommendations for improvements. Internal controls and compliance: Ensure compliance with internal control over financial reporting (ICOFR) best practice guidelines to achieve and maintain M1 compliance Other job functions

Education / Experience
Professional Accounting designation – ACCA Level 2 or other equivalent professional accounting certification is preferred, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of two (2) years of progressive experience in accounting. Skills and qualifications
In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and practices in line with IFRS. High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy and confidentiality. Working conditions
