Dispatcher

Insight Global is seeking highly-motivated dispatchers for one of their local transportation clients in the Woodbridge, VA area. The dispatcher is responsible for coordinating communications with drivers to ensure safe, courteous, and efficient transportation services are delivered to our customers. Responsibilities: • Ensure that each driver reports at their scheduled work shift time • Arrange coverage for any call-offs within driver staffing • Prepare and print manifests for all operators (10) minutes prior to scheduled check in time • Make bus assignments • Ensure all operators pull out on time • Provide written documentation of incidents which may require follow-up action but not limited to call outs by operators • Communicate clearly with others both verbally and in writing • Promptly provide client with information on location and ETA Required Skills and Experience: • Must be 21 years of age or older • High School Diploma or GED • Current and Valid Driver’s License, CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) with Passenger Endorsement. (MUST BE ABLE TO OBTAIN CDL WITHIN 6 MONTHS OF EMPLOYMENT) • Computer literate using a Windows-based computer operating system • Must be able and willing to work a flexible schedule that may include nights, weekends and holidays • Must be able to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment and communicate at all times in a professional and courteous manner. • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check Preferred Skills: • Previous experience in the transit industry either as a driver or dispatcher, preferably in a paratransit environment a plus Employment Type: Full Time Bonus/Commission: No
