This role is field-based, and candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city. Talent will be hired at a level commensurate with experience. Responsibilities
Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field, drive sales performance, effectively manage the assigned territory and targeted accounts, build strong customer relationships, and provide customer needs solving capability to maximize short- and long-term sales performance with the patient at the center of efforts and in compliance with AbbVie\'s code of conduct, policies, and all applicable laws and regulations. Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives to meet or exceed targets. Create pre-call plan objectives and execute post-call evaluation to continuously improve sales performance. Effectively handle objections and concerns and consistently gain calls to action to close on sales calls. Proactively serve customer needs and expectations to build trusted relationships and achieve win-win agreements between AbbVie and customers. Develop and execute a call plan that achieves set call metrics and optimizes coverage and frequency to key customers to maximize access and sales opportunities. Continuously build understanding of customer needs, territory market landscape, competitors, market segments/dynamics, accounts, disease state, product, clinical and sales expertise, and share market intelligence with in-field team, brand team, and sales manager to align and optimize brand strategy and execution. Differentiate AbbVie\'s value proposition with health providers and identify, develop, and maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates to maximize brand performance. Drive a personal auto or company car, or a powered piece of material handling equipment as required to perform the role. Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business-related field preferred or relevant and equivalent industry experience; required in lieu of a degree. Relevant industry experience in the pharmaceutical/health/science sector; five (5) years of experience with three (3) or more years in the pharmaceutical/health/science industry is preferred; high school diploma/GED required. Demonstrates in-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge; strong business acumen and proficiency with business tools; strategic and critical thinking capabilities. Proactively identifies customer style/behavior and adapts selling approaches accordingly; develops sales strategies and offers innovative ideas to maximize opportunities. Works effectively in a matrix environment, influences others, and is seen as a credible and respected resource among peers; builds collaborative partnerships with district colleagues and matrix teams. Leads by example with positive behaviors and peer coaching; documented success in leadership and increased responsibility at district, regional, or organizational levels. Preferred: Proven track record of sales success in relevant therapeutic areas; experience in commercial pharmaceutical settings (e.g., physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care, or marketing) is advantageous. English proficiency (verbal and written) for non-English-speaking countries. Must satisfy all applicable HCIR credentialing requirements to gain and maintain entry into facilities and organizations in the assigned territory; you must be in good standing or eligible to obtain these credentials. HCIR credentialing requirements may include background checks, drug screens, immunization/vaccination proof, fingerprinting, and licenses required by state or city regulations. You are responsible for satisfying all requirements; AbbVie provides resources to assist as needed. Valid driver\'s license and ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and meet safe driving requirements. Key Stakeholders
External: Specialty physicians in the therapeutic brand area, pharmacists, nurses, and others depending on the brand plan. Internal: In-field team members, Sales Management (DSM), Marketing Management, Training, Customer Excellence, and Brand Plan stakeholders. Additional Information
The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation for this role at the time of posting, based on the job grade. Individual compensation will depend on geographic location and other factors; the range may be modified in the future.

This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs.
