Mayo Foundation for Medical Education and Research, Rochester, Minnesota, us, 55905
Overview
The Division of Hematology at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota, is seeking a mid-career physician researcher with a clinical/research focus on plasma cell malignancies and related precursor conditions. Specifically, a clinical investigator engaged in pre-clinical work and clinical trials in oncolytic virotherapy in lymphoid malignancies is sought. Additionally, expertise in dysproteinemias in underserved, high risk populations is required.
The Team The Myeloma, Amyloidosis and Dysproteinemia Disease Group at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN, is a multidisciplinary team of eighteen physicians, four advanced practice providers (APPs), and two research scientists who dedicate their clinical and research efforts to improving the outcomes of patients with plasma cell disorders. We have a large transplant program and cellular therapy program that has continued to grow, along with a busy clinical practice that provides care to a large number of patients with various plasma cell disorders, including complex conditions. We have a large research program that is supported partially through an NCI SPORE grant. The Myeloma Disease Group is an integral part of the Hematological Malignancies Program of the NCI-accredited Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center, with major initiatives to integrate the Mayo Clinic shields of practice, research, and education across all Mayo Clinic sites (including in Rochester, Arizona, and Florida), in addition to Mayo Clinic Health Systems.

Be actively involved in a dysproteinemia-focused clinical practice that includes transplant and cellular therapy.
Lead clinical trials and be an active participant in advancing the practice, clinical research, and education of trainees (including medical students, residents, and fellows).
Balance hospital service and outpatient clinic-based patient care.
Collaborate with a large research program supported by tissue repository and clinical database integrated with other Mayo Clinic facilities.
Leverage available resources and facilities to advance career development.
Be a clinician investigator with expertise in oncolytic virotherapy in lymphoid malignancies and research focused on underserved, high-risk populations, including those across the African diaspora, and older adults with myeloma.
Qualifications
Clinical investigator with a focus on plasma cell disorders and related precursor conditions.
Experience in pre-clinical work and clinical trials in oncolytic virotherapy in lymphoid malignancies.
Expertise in dysproteinemias in underserved, high-risk populations.
Clinical experience with transplant and immune effector therapies in plasma cell disorders.
