Position Title: Marketplace Manager – Amazon Business
Position Overview:
In this U.S. based role, we are seeking an ambitious, detail-oriented, and entrepreneurial Marketplace Manger to drive B2B sales growth across leading online marketplaces, including Amazon, Walmart.com, Faire and other B2B Channels. This role will focus on optimizing product positioning through strategic pricing, packaging, shipping bulk order structures, certifications, and promotional programs to maximize B2B sales potential. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in marketplace seller systems (Amazon Seller Central, Walmart Sell Center, Target+, etc.) a solid understanding of marketplace terms of service, and the curiosity and motivation to independently research, plan, and execute new initiatives. This role will be part of a team of marketplace growth experts supporting our portfolio of brands, while also being assigned independent, project-based work requiring strong analytical and executional skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute B2B sales strategies across multiple online marketplaces, with focus on bulk discounts, tiered pricing models, and promotional opportunities.
- Oversee B2B certification and compliance requirements, ensuring all product listings meet marketplace standards for business buyers.
- Optimize product positioning for B2B buyers through a mix of SEO, conversion rate optimization (CRO), and advertising alignment.
- Manage product level requirements including pricing, discounts, packaging, shipping requirements, and bulk order configurations.
- Partner with marketplace growth experts, brand managers, operations, and supply chain teams to align strategies with inventory health and revenue goals.
- Conduct competitive analyses to benchmark pricing, packaging, and B2B feature adoption across categories.
- Monitor and report on key performance metrics (CTR, conversion, sales, margin preservation) and deliver actionable insights.
- Lead independent research-driven projects, formulating and executing plans with leadership support when needed.
Required Qualifications
- Strong familiarity with Amazon Seller Central (3P) and preferably other marketplace systems (Walmart Seller Center, Target+, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to build and analyze bulk discount structures, pricing models, and promotional strategies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills; able to independently form and execute strategies.
- Understanding of SEO, CTR, conversion rate optimization, B2B/brand certifications and marketplace advertising programs.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to collaborate across teams.
- Highly organized with strong project management and time management skills.
- Proficiency in MS O365 Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, economics, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of professional experience in ecommerce, marketplace operations, and/or B2B/B2C sales required.
- Direct experience with B2B/B2C programs on Amazon, Walmart.com, and/or Target+ strongly preferred.
- Experience working cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance is a plus.
- Experience in the CPG industry is preferred, with proven ability to manage products across multiple categories and marketplaces.
- Prior experience managing or coordinating with remote/virtual assistants a plus。
