We are looking for a

Maintenance Technician

to perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on plant equipment and machinery. This position will be a

Full-Time contract

and

Onsite .

What You'll Do Perform required oiling and greasing of all plant equipment and machines such as conveyors, pallet jacks, pallet destackers, and multi-shifters according to schedule and equipment specifications

Conduct specified preventative maintenance checks for potential issues such as wear on shafts, chains, sprockets, or belts; malfunctions in automatic lubrication systems; wear on hoses; burned-out fuses or bulbs

Inspect equipment and machinery, analyzing problem areas to determine corrective action necessary for repairs using blueprints, schematics, machine manuals, and verbal instructions

Replace or repair worn or defective parts such as hoses, switches, fuses, bearings, relays, belts, lubrication lines, and hydraulic valves

Analyze a variety of electrical controls using a voltmeter and schematics; clean or replace contacts, relays, etc., as necessary

Maintain plant equipment and machinery in good condition and appearance, including cleaning equipment and repainting as needed

Assist in the installation and/or rebuilding of plant equipment to restore equipment to original operating condition

Perform minor sheet metal, plumbing, carpentry, painting, or concrete work as necessary

Organize spare parts and log used parts to maintain accurate inventory for restocking

Manage battery charging, changing, and washing, as well as conducting monthly preventative maintenance on batteries and logging water evaporation

Be willing to work overtime and maintain flexibility in work hours

What You'll Need

Required: High School Diploma or GED

Ability to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on plant equipment

Experience using tools such as voltmeters, calipers, feeler gauges, and ohmmeters

Strong understanding of blueprints, schematics, and machine manuals

Preferred: Experience in minor sheet metal, plumbing, carpentry, painting, or concrete work

Physical Demands Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs. with occasional heavier lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling.

Ability to climb a ladder and work off elevated aerial platforms.

Walk and stand during entire shift.

Utilize tools, materials, and equipment according to safety and operational principles and practices

The pay for this position is $22.00 per hour (USD). Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will include medical coverage as well as 401k retirement account access.
