Position Overview
We are seeking a Site Superintendent to lead daily field operations on a water/wastewater treatment facility project. This role is responsible for supervising subcontractors and crews, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and coordinating with project managers and engineers to deliver a high-quality project on schedule and within budget. The ideal candidate will bring strong knowledge of civil, structural, mechanical, and process piping systems specific to water and wastewater construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct all on-site construction activities, including workforce scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and daily operations.
- Enforce strict adherence to project plans, specifications, and contract requirements.
- Promote and enforce safety programs in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Coordinate inspections, testing, and quality assurance activities.
- Oversee equipment, materials, and logistics to maximize project efficiency.
- Maintain accurate daily reports, progress logs, and documentation.
- Serve as the primary on-site liaison for project managers, engineers, and client stakeholders.
- Identify and resolve issues proactively to avoid project delays or cost overruns.
Qualifications
- 7–10+ years of construction experience, with at least 5 years in a superintendent role.
- Experience with water/wastewater treatment plant construction highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of civil, structural, mechanical, and process piping systems.
- Demonstrated ability to manage crews, subcontractors, and site operations.
- OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain before start date).
- Skilled in interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in field documentation, reporting, and communication.
