Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily accounting operations across accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and deadlines are met.
  • Review reconciliations, financial reports, and staff work for accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Collaborate with external tax accountants by preparing schedules and documentation.
  • Mentor, train, and evaluate accounting staff, fostering a high-performing team.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements to drive efficiency.
  • Partner with other departments to provide financial guidance and resolve issues.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
