Job Summary

Provide classroom and lab instruction in competencies for welding and cutting processes in Oxy-Fuel Systems, Shielded Metal Arc, Gas Tungsten Arc and Gas Metal Arc Welding. These duties include the evaluation & supervision of adults in custody within a state correctional facility, working collaboratively with faculty and staff and completing professional development requirements.

Job Duties

  • Provide online, classroom and lab instruction in competencies for welding and cutting processes in Oxy-Fuel Systems, Shielded Metal Arc, Gas Tungsten Arc and Gas Metal Arc.
  • These duties include the evaluation & supervision of adults in custody within a state correctional facility, working collaboratively with faculty and staff and completing professional development requirements.
  • Professional Development will include a minimum two-week Kentucky Department of Corrections training course
  • This position will work at the location of and with the population of the Northpoint Training Center, 710 Walter Reed Road, Burgin, KY.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate degree AND 3 years related work experience OR American Welding Society (AWS) Certified Welding Educator (CWE) OR Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) AND 3 years related work experience OR Kentucky Department of Transportation or industry equivalent welding certification AND 5 years related work experience.
