Gate Security Guards

Automation Personnel Services is looking for Gate Security Guards to work for a company based at the Port of Tampa, FL. In this job, you will be responsible for signing in visitors and employees, verifying credentials, and keeping a log of all visitors going in and out.

Pay Rate

$15.00 - $16.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule and hours

Monday to Friday from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM. Required to work every other weekend either 5:00 AM–5:00 PM or 5:00 PM–5:00 AM.

Gate Security Guard Duties and Responsibilities

• Inspect identification and credentials of all personnel and vehicles entering and exiting the port.
• Signing in visitors and employees that are coming into the facility.
• Respond to security breaches or incidents, reporting them to the appropriate authorities.
• Maintain accurate logs of all activities, incidents, and visitor entries.
• Conduct regular patrols of the area to ensure safety and compliance with security protocols.

Gate Security Guard Requirements and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional security training or certification preferred.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
