Employment Opportunity

As an Armed Security Officer, you will be part of a highly trained security team supporting critical facilities, infrastructure, and public venues requiring enhanced security. You will be trained in safe weapons handling and marksmanship by qualified firearm instructors and contribute to a broad range of security services.

Duties:

  • Constant or frequent personal surveillance of secured areas
  • Close observation of persons to detect damage, misuse, or theft
  • Monitor equipment deliveries and contractor activities
  • Inspect entries and exits, and document access control
  • Report suspicious or illegal activity
  • Report unsafe conditions that could cause fires or hazards
  • Prohibit unauthorized access to property
  • Enforce trespass procedures and apprehend as per post orders
  • Monitor and respond to alarm systems
  • Demonstrate presence of mind and timely decision-making
  • Notify appropriate agencies and management
  • Conduct interior and exterior patrols; parking lot patrols
  • Check personnel entering facilities; log visitors and vehicles; issue badges; manage visitor logs and access control
  • Participate in building fire and emergency action plans
  • Use mapping software to locate facilities
  • Prepare security reports and assist investigators
  • Respond to alarms and emergencies
  • Assist with crowd and traffic control during emergencies
  • Maintain timely check-in calls

Qualifications

  • Be a U.S. Citizen
  • Be 21 years of age or older
  • Hold a high school diploma or GED
  • Minimum three (3) years of law enforcement with arrest authority or three (3) years of prisoner handling/detention as a Corrections, Detention, or Military Police Officer
  • Speak, read, and write English
  • Possess a valid U.S. driver’s license
  • Be certified fit-for-duty by a medical professional for the CDO position
  • Not have a disqualifying physical or medical condition
  • Not have an emotional or mental condition that could affect performance
  • Honorable or general discharge if a Veteran
