Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site role for a Teacher at Huntington Learning Center in Encino, CA. Teachers will provide individualized instruction in reading and mathematics using Huntington’s proven curriculum. Training is provided to ensure every teacher is fully Huntington-ready before working with students.

This role is ideal for graduate students, retired teachers, and professionals with strong subject knowledge who are looking for flexible, meaningful part-time work.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized instruction in reading and mathematics
• Adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning styles
• Support students in building academic skills, confidence, and motivation
• Collaborate with the Center Director and staff to monitor progress
• Maintain a positive and professional classroom environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) required — Education, Mathematics, or related field preferred
• Strong lesson planning and teaching skills
• Experience in education, training, or tutoring
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff and support students’ individual goals
• Flexibility to work after-school hours and weekends
