POSITION: Graphic Designer
REPORTS TO: Director of Digital Communications
STATUS: Full-time, Exempt
RANGE: $60,000 - $67,500
Founded in 1901, Brooklyn Law School is a distinguished, independent law school located in Downtown Brooklyn, New York. The Law School is searching for a Graphic Designer to join our Marketing and Communications team.
The Graphic Designer will play a key role in producing compelling and effective designs for digital and print communications. Reporting to the Director of Digital Communications, this position will support projects across the institution, with particular emphasis on digital signage and design for digital formats.
Responsibilities
- Develop and produce designs for digital signage, web, social media, email, and print that align with Brooklyn Law School’s brand identity.
- Collaborate with colleagues across Marketing and Communications and other campus departments to deliver creative solutions that support strategic goals.
- Assist with digital video production and editing where needed.
- Support updates and maintenance of brooklaw.edu content using the organization’s content management system (CMS), ensuring consistency with brand voice, accessibility, and design standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, communications, or related field.
- Two or more years of professional design experience.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Canva.
- Strong design portfolio demonstrating expertise in both digital and print design.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred
- Experience designing for higher education or nonprofit organizations.
- Familiarity with CMS platforms, basic video editing, and accessibility standards for digital communications.
- Experience producing content optimized for digital signage.
Remote Capabilities
- This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule, requiring a minimum in-office presence of four (4) days per week during the academic year when classes are in session and during exam periods. During the summer and academic breaks, when classes are not in session and exams are not being administered, a minimum of three (3) days per week of in-office presence is required.

- No travel required.
