Overview

The HR Manager will be based onsite at our Westampton, NJ distribution center, working Monday through Friday. This role is responsible for overseeing daily HR operations, ensuring smooth and effective support for all colleague-related matters. The HR Manager will collaborate closely with local and regional management teams, acting as a strategic partner in addressing employee relations, performance management, and organizational development. They will be partnering with Talent Acquisition and Management. Additionally, this role includes facilitating in-house compliance training, coaching, and supporting ongoing development initiatives to foster a positive and productive workplace culture.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Required:

  • Bachelor\'s degree and 3+ years of progressive HR experience in generalist or senior generalist capacity
  • Broad human resources knowledge with experience in employee relations, recruitment, benefits, and compensation
  • Prior experience with unions a plus
  • Strong people skills with the ability to interact with all levels of colleagues and management
  • Must travel as needed

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of progressive HR experience
  • Working knowledge of Workday. PHR or SPHR certification

Essential Duties

  • Provide counsel to colleagues and management ensuring legal compliance with policy and laws
  • Conduct internal investigations in accordance with Company policy and legal requirements
  • Collaborate with management to successfully execute the annual performance review cycles and provide guidance to management regarding performance issues
  • Work with Union representatives to facilitate a good working relationship as needed
  • Partner with management to address grievance administration while successfully administering compliance of CBA
  • Oversee local unemployment compensation claims, local workers\’ compensation claims, and OSHA reporting logs to ensure compliance
  • Possess an intimate understanding of the leave of absence process, including FMLA and workers’ compensation
  • Actively engage in communications with other HR team members around best practices and identify opportunities to create consistency where necessary

Other

  • Continue to partner with Sysco\'s Centers of Excellence (COE) to execute best practices
  • Support the Director of HR in executing HR strategic initiatives
  • Maintain current knowledge of state and local DOT standards and requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned
