Responsibilities

Roxbury Treatment Center is seeking a social worker to assist patients on acute psychiatric units for adults and/or adolescents. The Social Worker provides clinical social work services in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Roxbury Treatment Center and the NASW. Hours are Monday - Friday day shift with evenings and/or weekends if necessary.

  • Perform psychosocial assessments of patients’ mental health and drug/alcohol history; conduct individual, group, and family therapy; actively participate on the treatment team; take a lead role in developing the master treatment plan.
  • Develop realistic and measurable short- and long-term goals; coordinate with other agencies involved with discharge and continuing care plans.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree or higher in Social Work or a related field from an accredited college; practicum in health or human services preferred. or
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work required.
