Overview
Schedule - Shift - Hours Full-time - Days - 8 hours
The IT Support Specialist is responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, both physical and virtual machines, mobile devices, printers, scanners, and other networked devices. Researches and troubleshoots hardware, network, and software issues, documents problems and solutions, and prioritizes incidents and requests with minimal impact to the end user. Coordinates with other IT sections and 3rd party vendors as needed. Manages user accounts, access and exchange requests, conference room equipment, and provides other services as appropriate. Also supports patients and their healthcare portal accounts.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience: Technical degree in Computer Science, certification, training, or equivalent; OR high school diploma or equivalent and one (1) year IT Support work experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
General knowledge of the following: 1) Computer hardware 2) Operating systems to include Windows OS, Mac OS, iOS, Android, and Linux 3) Familiarity of virtual environments and Citrix, 4) Can troubleshoot network devices, UPS systems, Servers, and applies patch management skills when necessary; 5) Understands and utilizes Windows Administrative Tools 6) Office products to include O365 and MDM enrollment. The IT Support Specialist has the ability to follow verbal or written instructions, describes problems in a clear and precise manner, exercises good judgment and accepts personal responsibility, effectively communicates orally and in writing, can perform independently and handle multiple assignments, and works well under stressful situations.
READING - Intermediate: Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
WRITING - Intermediate: Ability to write routine reports, correspondence, or procedures.
SPEAKING - Intermediate: Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one, small group situations or before groups of customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Basic Skills: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY - Intermediate Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
