, you will

escort patients and transport items between patient units and ancillary departments. These functions are performed

in accordance with

! Primary Duties: Obtains supplies/equipment/medications, as needed, from

appropriate departments

and transports to nursing units. Obtains "STAT" medications from Pharmacy and delivers to nursing units.

Assists

nursing staff getting patients into chairs/beds/stretchers, and escorts/transports patients to and from ancillary departments. Responds to all "Codes" as assigned

to transport and obtain requests for supplies, medications, etc.

Transport specimens to

appropriate laboratory

.

Utilizes communication devices (

bellboy

, walkie-talkie) to respond to requests for service, and always

maintains

all devices in proper working condition.

Communicates

appropriate information

to patients, staff, and visitors.

Maintains a safe environment for patients during all phases of transportation. Exemplifies Guest and Staff Relations standards in all activities.

Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED.

Previous

hospital or patient care experience preferred.

This position has a hiring range of $18.75 - $18.77
