About the Role:

The Phlebotomy Training Specialist, reporting to the Training Manager, plays a crucial role in delivering effective phlebotomy training services to our team. Responsibilities include training on new processes, developing training initiatives, providing re-training in areas of concern, and assisting with onboarding for key accounts. This position is essential in maintaining a safe and professional environment for all patients, clients, and employees while offering vital administrative and training support to the phlebotomy department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess current phlebotomy practices and training needs.
  • Implement SOPs and effectively communicate important information according to company standards.
  • Act as a mentor and resource under the guidance of the Training Manager.
  • Facilitate exceptional onboarding services for key accounts, ensuring thorough training for both clients and phlebotomists on test ordering processes and office protocols.
  • Deliver training and retraining, assisting in the overall quality enhancement of the phlebotomy team.
  • Support transitions within the work environment and ensure familiarity with departmental protocols and practices.
  • Manage training schedules efficiently.
  • Assist in creating engaging training presentations and programs.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, patients, colleagues, and the public.
  • Document issues thoroughly and elevate them to the appropriate management level for resolution.
  • Immediately inform the Training Manager of any unresolved problems.
  • Carry out basic clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, mail preparation, and electronic data entry.
  • Submit accurate expense reports, time logs, and travel documentation punctually as per guidelines.
  • Perform all duties in line with best security practices and regulatory guidelines, ensuring the protection of sensitive information.
  • Adhere to the Corporate Compliance Program and all corporate policies, including those concerning Privacy and Security.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Phlebotomy Certification required.

Requirements:

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in phlebotomy is required.
  • 1 - 2 years of training experience in phlebotomy is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel and stay at offsite locations for extended periods as necessary.
  • Reliable transportation is required.
  • Availability to work flexible hours.
  • Successful completion of a motor vehicle record (MVR) check is necessary.
  • Compliance with PathGroup's transportation policy is mandatory.
