Job Summary and Qualifications The Patient Care Technician (PCT) is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care through various delegated basic patient care services. Under the supervision of a registered nurse, you will assist in providing care and maintaining a safe and organized environment for patients. Your Responsibilities: Implement nursing care plans by providing direct and indirect patient care. Record initial and ongoing patient information, including vital signs and intake/output data. Assist patients with mobility and activities of daily living, ensuring safety and comfort. Collect specimens for diagnostic tests and ensure proper labeling. Serve as the Monitor/Telemetry Tech as needed. Engage in best practices that enhance patient experiences. Qualifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment. CNA certification in Virginia preferred, or completion of a Fundamentals of Nursing course.
