The Medical Assistant (MA) is an integral part of our healthcare team, delivering high-quality patient care and support. The MA operates within the scope of practice and under the supervision of healthcare providers, ensuring patient safety and satisfaction. You will play a key role in creating a positive clinical environment and participating in various patient care activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform all duties within the scope of practice for Medical Assistants
Operate diagnostic equipment, remove staples from wounds, change dressings, administer non-intravenous medications, collect specimens using non-invasive techniques, and perform venipunctures and EKGs
Conduct quality control checks on equipment
Prepare and sterilize medical instruments
Room patients and prepare them for examinations according to established policies
Accurately and timely document patient care in medical records
Coordinate patient care as per directives from physicians and company standards
Ensure patient confidentiality and deliver respectful service to every patient
Organize and maintain examination and treatment rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper stocking
Adhere to standard infection control practices
Follow Standard Delegation of Orders (SDO)
Perform additional related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
Current, nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification or ability to obtain it within 180 days of employment
Current BLS certification for healthcare providers by hire date or within 30 days
Strong knowledge of medical terminology
Basic computer literacy and proficiency in Excel
Excellent communication skills
Ability to remain calm in emergency situations
This position requires Tuberculosis screening and proof of immunity to various communicable diseases
Preferred Qualifications:
1+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant
Familiarity with ICD-10 and CPT coding
The hourly wage range for this position is $16.00 to $28.85 per hour. Compensation is determined by local labor markets, qualifications, and experience.
