Physician Duties: Complete all duties of attending physician as outlined in the Medical Staff Bylaws Participate in QI and UM as reasonably requested Co-chair the quarterly Transfusion Committee Adhere to Medical Staff Bylaws and Hospital Rules and Regulations and policies Be board-certified in Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine. Have experience with cellular therapy programs. Coagulation testing experience and/or fellowship is a plus Teaching responsibilities will include education for pathology residents, hematology/oncology fellows, as well as for CMSRU medical students and medical technologists. Respond to PRN calls for clinical consultation Have full knowledge and satisfy all regulatory requirements of CAP, AABB, NJDOH and FDA. Provider shall oversee the Transfusion Service as needed to support complex Blood Bank and Transfusion Medicine services for the largest Level 1 Trauma Center in Southern New Jersey, as well as outpatient surgery centers, infusion centers and the EMS ground and helicopter transportation programs.
