The High School Principal works directly under the supervision of the Assistant Superintendent and is a member of the Academic Leadership Team and the Administrative Council. Responsibilities Oversee, supervise, and guide the High School Administrative Team for the effective functioning of all aspects of the High School program. Provide servant leadership, communicating the school's mission, vision, and values to faculty, staff, parents, students, community, and accreditation bodies. Oversee daily school operations, programs, and activities for Grades 9-12, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards. Recruit, interview, and recommend hiring of faculty/staff; perform evaluations and supervise their work. Check and supervise weekly lesson plans, curriculum guides, and learning goals. Provide ongoing professional development for faculty/staff. Aid curriculum development for vertical alignment across the school. Conduct faculty meetings and oversee student admissions and partnerships with families. Coordinate student/parent/teacher conferences and counsel parents on school/home relationships. Monitor student spiritual, academic, and behavioral progress. Coordinate chapels, service projects, and mission trips with the Director of Discipleship. Plan HS events, clubs, and extracurricular activities with the Director of Student Life. Oversee student discipline and develop the High School budget. Participate in the superintendents' Administrative Council and the Academic Leadership Team. Contribute to accreditation processes, reports, and handbook reviews.
Qualifications Must be a born-again believer in Jesus Christ, involved with an evangelical Protestant church, and aligned with the school's faith statements. Committed to the mission and philosophy of Christian education. Spiritually mature Christian leader with experience working directly with students. Strong communication and presentation skills. Master's degree required; doctorate preferred. Minimum of 5 years' experience as a high school principal. Ability to obtain ACSI Certification.
