Join our dedicated team as an Urgent Care Medical Technician, where you'll provide vital patient care in a fast-paced environment under the guidance of healthcare professionals. Responsibilities: Facilitate patient flow within the department, ensuring timely updates on wait times. Monitor patients closely, alerting providers and registered nurses of any signs of distress. Prepare patients for examinations and assist throughout the process. Perform essential medical procedures such as inserting Foley catheters, complex splinting, and venipuncture. Maintain and organize examination and treatment areas, ensuring cleanliness and proper supply levels. Exhibit strong critical thinking skills and the ability to function with minimal supervision in a dynamic environment. Requirements: Emergency Medical Technician certification Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant credential Licensed Practical Nurse certification EMT-Paramedic certification High school diploma or GED Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification; IV proficiency within 6 months of hire; and one of the following credentials: CMA, RMA, state licensure as EMT, EMT-I, or Paramedic, or completion of a military medic course (no renewal required). BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross, with certification valid for at least sixty days post-hire.
