Responsibilities include: Preparing patients for examinations by taking vital signs and medical histories. Setting up exam and treatment rooms, maintaining and sterilizing instruments and supplies. Administering injections and assisting with lab tests and phlebotomy. Supporting physicians in preparing for minor surgeries and physicals. Handling telephone communications and managing referrals. Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program or twelve months of direct clinical patient care experience in a healthcare setting, or current Medical Assistant certification. Medical Assistants with one year of experience must obtain certification within one year of hire. Recent graduates must achieve clinical MA certification within 60 days of employment. Active and unrevoked certifications (RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, NCRMA, or ABR-OE) are preferred. The
