Job Details



Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including: general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, check runs, fixed asset activity, debt activity etc.
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
  • Coordinate and complete annual audits.
  • Provide recommendations to improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions.
  • Oversee the accurate and timely processing of positive pay transactions.
  • Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal and external reporting requirements, including SEC reporting and ASC 842.
  • Maintain a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Work closely with team members to educate them about finance and accounting procedures, explore how they can better utilize reports and tools, and increase their financial acumen.
  • Implement, manage, and maintain the D365 system.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position.
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365).
  • Experience in SEC reporting and ASC 842.
  • Excellent computer skills; experience in accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite; Access, database, or other system knowledge.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to direct and supervise.
  • Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
  • Ability to execute and follow-through to completion and documentation.
