Job Summary and Qualifications

The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care in line with departmental protocols and standards. As a vital member of the care team, you will perform diagnostic tests, therapeutic procedures, and monitor patients receiving various forms of mechanical ventilation.

Your Responsibilities Include:

• Conducting thorough patient assessments, including breath sounds and airway management.
• Administering respiratory therapies, such as oxygen and aerosol medications.
• Assisting with airway placement and managing mechanical ventilation.
• Monitoring patient responses and promptly addressing any concerns with providers.
• Transporting patients on ventilators safely.
• Responding to emergencies to ensure airway integrity during resuscitation.

Qualifications Required

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentials.
• Certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (CPR) certification within 30 days of employment.
