About the Role Job Title: Software Developer Key Responsibilities Design, build, and deploy new services to enable conversion and modernization initiatives Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Java Optimize application performance, scalability, and security Manage and query relational databases ( Postgres, MySQL ) Utilize AWS services (Fargate, S3, Lambda) to build cloud-native applications Collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring timely delivery of features Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and CI/CD processes Support RTE responsibilities such as facilitating team ceremonies, coordinating dependencies, and ensuring alignment with Agile Release Train objectives Required Skills & Experience 7+ years of hands-on experience in Java backend development Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and design patterns Proficiency with Postgres and MySQL databases Experience with AWS (Fargate, S3, Lambda) for building and deploying applications Familiarity with Agile methodologies, SAFe framework, or Release Train practices Strong problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills Nice to Have Experience in RTE or Scrum Master responsibilities Exposure to containerization tools ( Docker, Kubernetes ) Knowledge of monitoring tools (Splunk, CloudWatch, Dynatrace) Location Location: Chicago, IL Salary Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $90,440 – $109,440 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
