Job Overview:
Are you a highly skilled and licensed Electrician looking for an exciting opportunity to maintain and enhance electrical systems? Your expertise with high-voltage equipment, building automation systems, and power distribution technologies is crucial in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement preventative maintenance programs for electrical systems, including motors, transformers, switchgear, and lighting fixtures.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex electrical systems to ensure peak performance.
Conduct thorough inspections and tests on electrical wiring, circuits, and components to identify wear, faults, or malfunctions.
Perform various diagnostic procedures, including electrical load testing and insulation resistance testing.
Maintain and repair motor control centers (MCCs), variable speed drives (VSDs), unit substations, distribution panels, and other critical infrastructure.
Support and maintain building automation systems to ensure seamless integration with electrical systems.
Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to enhance equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
Document all maintenance and repair activities, test results, and inspection findings in compliance with regulatory standards.
Ensure all work adheres to local, state, and national electrical codes and safety regulations.
Basic Qualifications:
TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance is required.
High school diploma or equivalent.
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience maintaining and repairing electrical systems.
Completion of a formal training program in electrical technology or related field.
Competence in inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of electrical equipment and systems.
Experience using diagnostic tools such as meters and analyzers.
Ability to disassemble and overhaul complex electrical components.
Proficient in using standard hand and power tools for electrical repairs. Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, cooling, and electrical systems.
Experience conducting routine and preventive maintenance tasks to enhance safety and reduce downtime.
Strong understanding of troubleshooting techniques for electrical systems.
Attention to detail and the ability to follow technical specifications and maintenance protocols.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification from a recognized electrical training provider.
Associate degree in Electrical Technology or similar discipline.
4+ years of experience in commercial or industrial electrical systems.
Experience with quality control inspections and maintaining service records.
Understanding of energy efficiency practices related to electrical systems.
Project management experience in a maintenance setting.
Knowledge of safety inspection procedures and compliance standards.
Familiarity with maintenance management systems.
OSHA safety training or certification related to electrical safety.
