Job Purpose Position provides technical leadership, strategy and direction within manufacturing operations. Provides leadership and support to local technical leaders and staff.

Provides technical support and direction for complex issues. Leads the development of overall technical strategy, including Business Plan, Investment, New Technology and technical talent development.

Key Accountabilities Team/Associate Development: Mentor and Develop the Plant/Business Unit(s) engineering and technical teams/individuals, including development planning, career pathing/succession and skill (individual and team) evaluation. Technical Leadership: Interpret complex business, product, electrical, and mechanical documents to advise and lead issue analysis and problem solving. Evaluate effectiveness of countermeasures developed by technical teams. Resource Allocation & Evaluation: Oversee and optimize technical budget and manpower. Evaluator for Plant/Business Unit(s) investment projects. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement technical themes within the Plant/Business Unit(s) aligned with both local and North American Business Plan objectives. Lead technical benchmarking (internal & external); form and implement strategies to drive best practices new technology, and innovation across the organization. Project Management/Leadership: Lead and/or support Plant/BU Level projects. Direct activity and manage resources (people and financial) to achieve project deliverable. Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports on project and business plan progress, performance and key metrics. Project Implementation: Experience with Project Management, Supplier Development and E-Flow. Honda Manufacturing engineering principles, systems and best practices at deep understanding level. Demonstrate personal experience with area of expertise technologies and methods.

Required Education Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (concentration in Manufacturing a plus) or related equivalent experience Required Experience 10+ years of relevant technical/engineering work experience in Manufacturing (focus in specialized area a plus) based on education.

Decisions Expected Negotiate the timing of activities in project schedules with all stakeholders to meet milestones and targets Promote NM and future business strategies with other BUs, Centers, RO and GO. Independently lead key negotiations with all stakeholders in strategic business development areas Develop HDMA wide Project Status reports and Present to BU Leadership, HDMA, and HM Executives Lead Improved Factory Characteristics to Achieve Factory Ideal Image for multiple factories and departments Lead project reflection activity after SOP to identify and develop future systemic and strategic countermeasures

Working Conditions Domestic and International (avg length of 1-2 weeks) travel may be requested (10%) Willingness to work overtime due to the cyclical business needs of Project & New Technology schedules Open office environment with moderate level of noise and activity In Person (100% in office) Remote work based on management discretion and operating needs.
