Job DescriptionThe Registered Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role in protecting, promoting, and optimizing health and abilities, preventing illness and injury, and alleviating suffering through diagnosis and treatment. The RN is responsible for advocacy in the care of individuals and families while ensuring compliance with standards of practice and professional development.
Responsibilities- Assess, plan, delegate, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care for a group of patients.
- Educate patients and families regarding health promotion and disease management.
- Administer medications safely according to established policies.
- Participate in productivity and effective resource utilization.
- Engage actively in professional development and complete mandatory education requirements.
- Support the Nursing Shared Governance Model and contribute to improvement initiatives.
- Provide a supportive learning environment for new employees and students.
- RN experience of 6 months to 3 years.
- Current New York State RN License.
- BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross).
