$250,000.00/yr - $275,000.00/yr On-Demand Group is seeking a Senior Director, IT Enterprise Infrastructure. This role drives modernization and operational excellence for infrastructure—including cloud platforms, network architecture, data center operations, and endpoint management—aligning technology with growth and business objectives. This hybrid position is based in either Northern Minnesota or metro Minneapolis, requiring frequent travel (about 50%) as business needs dictate. Please note, only candidates local to MN will be considered. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or relevant field (or equivalent experience). 12+ years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure leadership, with at least 5 years in a director or senior management position. Proven success in global, matrixed organizational leadership. Ability to build trust and collaborate across multiple levels; excellent stakeholder engagement. Professional communication and problem-solving skills. Fiscal responsibility with budget management and cost-effectiveness focus. Leadership team participation and achievement of goals. Ability to leverage analytics, data, and performance metrics for business decisions. Strong negotiation, contract management, and vendor partnership skills. Market awareness and customer-centric focus. Demonstrated accountability, ownership, and effective business leadership. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field. 9+ years industry experience in IT infrastructure or people leadership. Thorough knowledge of the electronic component distribution industry. Physical Requirements Primarily desk/office-based work; regularly uses computer devices. Moderate typical office noise levels. Ability to traverse large facilities and perform repetitive motions when required. Primary Responsibilities Oversee planning, implementation, and management of global IT infrastructure, covering cloud, network, and data center operations. Lead teams delivering infrastructure solutions; align staffing needs with technology and business priorities. Develop and execute scalable, reliable, and cost-effective infrastructure strategies. Manage cloud costs and infrastructure budgets, ensuring fiscal responsibility. Align infrastructure initiatives with company strategy, goals, and objectives. Establish policies, standards, and procedures for security and operational excellence. Negotiate and manage vendor relationships for infrastructure services and tools. Effectively communicate infrastructure strategies, plans, and results across the enterprise. Collaborate with leadership to drive continuous improvement, develop and manage SLAs and KPIs. Challenge the status quo and foster innovation in processes and technologies. Support staff and leadership development through mentorship and targeted development activities. Provide hands-on leadership, guidance, and oversight for direct reports and teams. Retain flexibility to take on new duties and responsibilities as assigned.
