A&M's Corporate Transaction Tax team is composed of seasoned tax professionals who provide practical tax advice to corporate buyers and sellers throughout the transaction life cycle. The team uses an integrated approach with professionals who have operating and financial experience to rapidly identify deal breakers, value drivers, and other areas of interest for clients. Our professionals have significant experience on both buy and sell sides across industries including healthcare, financial institutions, energy, technology, and consumer products. How You Will Contribute

Demonstrate an advanced understanding of increasingly complex tax concepts and apply tax knowledge to client situations. Develop and deliver high-quality tax planning approaches with timely services and work product that meet or exceed client expectations. Oversee due diligence including review of tax returns, financials, and other tax documentation to evaluate potential tax risks and opportunities. Strategize and execute post-merger integration strategies. Develop and deliver complex tax models, tax benefit analyses, and stock basis calculations. Review and provide strategic insights on tax aspects of purchase agreements. Lead coordination with state, local, and international tax teams, as well as financial and operational due diligence teams. Cultivate and maintain client relationships. Qualifications

CPA, JD (with accounting degree preferred), Masters in Taxation, or LLM At least 9 years of relevant experience in a mergers & acquisitions tax practice at a Big 4 firm, Big Law firm, or similar Knowledge of accounting and financial reporting Strong understanding of consolidated return regulations, tax-free reorganization provisions, and cross-border tax planning Strong writing, analytical, research, Excel, and organizational skills Strong communication, presentation, project management, and business development skills Strong self-motivation and ability to work in a team Ability to work in a dynamic, time-sensitive environment Your journey at A&M

The salary range is $175,000 - $225,000 annually, dependent on education, experience, skills, and geography.
