Established, full service, medium sized CPA firm located in the East Bay is seeking a skilled
Senior Tax Manager
with public accounting experience who is interested in transitioning to the role of Partner. Seeking a strong leader with exceptional technical expertise, business acumen, and a passion for developing client relationships and mentoring staff. This is a unique opportunity to join a respected firm with a clear pathway to partnership. Responsibilities:
Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns Prepare and review financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss reports to provide insight into current and projected financial positions Oversee and review team-prepared financial statements and journal entries Research and analyze complex financial and tax issues, applying sound judgment and offering proactive client solutions Provide representation for tax, audit, and appeals matters Supervise, mentor, and develop staff to enhance performance and career growth Build strong client relationships through effective communication and consulting expertise Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or business related field; CPA required 5+ years of progressive public accounting experience with an emphasis on tax Proven ability to manage projects from start to finish and oversee multiple priorities Proficiency with QuickBooks, Lacerte (preferred), Microsoft Office, Adobe Professional, and other accounting/tax software Strong small business consulting skills with a client-first mindset Exceptional attention to detail, follow-through, and problem-solving ability Ability to research, interpret, and apply tax, accounting, and auditing laws and regulations Why Join The Firm?
