Dallas, TX Job Title/High-Level Position Summary: In this role, you will be a member of the IT leadership team, reporting into the head of IT, and will participate in the development and implementation of the overall IT strategy in alignment with overall business objectives. You will be responsible for overseeing the IT Project Management Office (PMO) and ensuring the successful delivery of all IT projects within the organization. You will own the resource management, capacity planning and modeling, and allocation process, serve as the ultimate intake point for demand, and clearly communicate what impact priority changes will have on the roadmap. You will ensure project management excellence: driving expectations, key KPI's, and executive level communications on progress, risks, and KPI adherence. Key Responsibilities: Establish and maintain project management standards, templates, and best practices for the IT PMO. Monitor and track the progress of IT projects, identify potential issues or risks, and develop and implement mitigation strategies as needed. Collaborate with other IT leaders to develop compelling cases for IT initiatives, clearly articulating the value proposition and benefits to the organization. Implement a process/framework to extract the business value from IT enterprise platforms to measure overall portfolio performance and success. Lead a team of project managers and provide coaching, mentoring, and training to ensure their professional development and the successful delivery of IT projects according to the standards and KPI's defined. Establish a strong PMO project and enhancement governance process to effectively track and manage intakes, resource requirements, budget needs and tradeoffs through execution. Develop PMO standard KPIs' and project methodologies to drive clear communications to the business users around projects in flight, KPI's, risks, and visibility. Identify and evaluate strategies to reduce costs, boost performance, and ensure enterprise execution success. Alignment to internal methodologies, processes and tools, as well as standards and procedures for reporting and documentation, compliance with legislation and legal + compliance needs for a medical device company protected under HIPPA and other regulatory requirements and SOX audit. Minimum Basic Qualifications: 10+ years of IT experience with an expertise in Portfolio and Program Management Office. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. At minimum, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices, such as Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and PMBOK. PMP or other relevant project management certifications preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions. Working knowledge and administration to various PMO tools and applications to manage intakes, projects, resources, budgets, task management, workflow, and overall reporting and alignment. Strong experience in general project accounting procedures and GAAP alignment for IT costs. Experience in managing large portfolios of both interdependent and independent projects, initiatives, enhancements, and requests. Knowledge of the principles and practices of business organization, business strategic planning, and overall IT support for the same. Knowledge of the IT organization and its functions for alignment to operations. Experience in a highly regulated environment such as medical, healthcare is a plus.
