Department: Medical Staff Services Reports to: VP, Quality Medical Staff and Compliance Type: Full Time (5 days onsite) Requisition #: 12673 Position Summary

The Medical Staff Services Manager will oversee, supervise, and direct the day to day operations of the medical staff credentialing and privileging. They will need to have a strong understanding of compliance with regulatory agencies such as Title 22, CMS, and TJC requirements as it relates to medical staff affairs. Onboarding physicians in a timely manner as well as providing clear effective communication with hospital administration and various hospital departments will be key to the success of the Medical Staff Manager. Having 3 or more years in leading hospital privileges along with a strong background in database management and a CPMSM or CPCS certification is highly desirable. Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Responsible for knowing Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules/Regulations, and Hospital policies/procedures related to Medical Staff Supervise administrative staff Coordinate/maintain Medical Staff bank accounts and prepare monthly/quarterly financial reports to the Medical Staff Secretary/Treasurer; issue payments to medical staff vendors Maintain files, minutes, reports, etc., relating to Medical Staff activity Attend Medical Staff meetings to record and transcribe minutes and follow up on issues as assigned Direct and coordinate medical staff support services such as credentialing, privileging, and continuing medical education programs Follow Hospital and Department policies and procedures at all times (Administrative Manual, Environment of Care, Human Resources, Infection Control, Corporate Compliance, Code of Ethics, etc.) Attend, participate in in-services, training classes, mandatory classes, seminars/workshops, staff meetings, drills; read all department communications Customer Service – Provide excellent customer service; seek feedback; anticipate and recognize concerns Communication – Keep manager and team informed of progress, problems, development, and plans; collaborate with co-workers Accepts and performs other duties as assigned Qualifications

Minimum five years’ experience in Medical Staff Minimum five years’ managerial experience preferred Knowledgeable in Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations CPMSM certification required Bachelor’s degree in healthcare management or related field preferred Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office); EMR knowledge a plus Effective communication skills Ability to present information clearly in verbal and written form Ability to take initiative, adapt to changing priorities, and work independently Strong time management and prioritization skills Ability to multi-task with high efficiency and attention to detail Physical Requirements

Staff is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, and listen. Use of hands for computer work, writing reports, equipment setup/cleanup, clerical tasks, etc. Frequent phone use. Good vision to read schedules and enter accurate data. Must have good general health and emotional stability to carry out the duties. Able to lift up to 30 pounds Stand, walk, and move 50% of the day Use proper body mechanics when handling equipment Compliance Requirements

Complies with Chinese Hospital Compliance Handbook including Code of Ethics and all applicable statutes, regulations, and guidelines. Responsibilities include following guidelines and reporting suspected violations of any statute, regulation, agreement, or guideline applicable to all healthcare programs. Base Pay Scale: Starting at $93,309 – $120,838 per year. The salary of the finalist will be set based on factors including internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training.
