Under general supervision of a registered nurse in the assigned department, the Senior Vocational Nurse performs on a regular basis the full range of patient care activities in support of patient care. This includes, but not limited to, prioritizing and assisting in patient triage processing, preparation and assistance with patient examinations, administering medications, drawing blood, collecting and preparing laboratory tests, assisting with training and validation of competencies of LVN and other patient care support as required, assigned to more complex tasks, and providing patient education and staff training. Position requires initiative, ability to prioritize critical demands, ability to work in a team environment and ability to exercise independent judgment. Performs other related duties as assigned.

The Senior Vocational Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in an outpatient Women's Health Clinic and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Minimum Qualifications
Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license issued by the State of California. BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date. Previous experience working in an outpatient Women's Health Clinic (minimum two (2) years LVN experience required for senior level). If low applicant pool, will consider those that do not have Women's Health Clinic experience. Requires knowledge of universal precautions and proper use of body mechanics. Ability to take initiative, prioritize critical demands and work in a team environment. Preferred Qualifications
Ob/Gyn experience. Experience working in a large healthcare setting. Bilingual English/Spanish. Special Conditions
Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs. Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical. Pay and Benefits
Annual Full Pay Range: $74,980 - $93,229 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $35.91 - $44.65 Equal Opportunity Employer
