Senior/Staff Software Engineer – Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) team. Okta is The World’s Identity Company. We enable secure access, authentication, and automation, placing identity at the core of business security and growth. The IGA team is focused on building a unified Identity Governance solution to improve security posture, mitigate modern security risks, and increase efficiency. We are looking for talented engineers to help redefine what a modern Governance solution should look like. Responsibilities
Discuss, challenge and iterate the product design together with the product team Build a highly resilient and scalable Okta Identity Governance solution Design and build REST APIs to be used by 7000+ Okta customers and partners Work with management and architects to scope and plan engineering efforts and dependencies Write Unit Tests, Functional Tests and Integration Tests Participate in scrum activities, including daily standups, planning, reviews, and retros Required Skills
5+ years of software development experience, with at least 2 years building highly resilient and scalable enterprise software Experience with high-performance Postgres and MySQL environments Experience with REST API design Experience with Java Experience with server-side technologies including caching, asynchronous processing, and multi-threading Nice to Haves
Exposure to gRPC API development Exposure to microservice architecture Experience with Spring and Hibernate Exposure to ML/AI technologies Education and Training
Bachelor's in Computer Science, or relevant industry experience Compensation and Benefits
The annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington is $159,000—$239,000 USD. Your actual base salary depends on skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending accounts, and paid leave in accordance with applicable plans and policies.
