Under the direction of the Emergency Department Nursing Director and in collaboration with ED Nursing Leadership, the incumbent Registered Nurse will primarily provide care to patients with a focus on our pediatric population.

The Emergency Department has become the largest clinical service in the region, serving as a level one trauma center for adults and children, a level one burn center, a comprehensive stroke center and a STEMI center, among its other areas of special expertise.
Qualifications
Requirements for an ED Registered Nurse include:
Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse license
At least 2 years of Emergency experience and/or 2 years of pediatric acute care experience
Utilize the Nursing Process for the delivery and management of patient care
Perform patient assessments and treatments according to policy/procedure
Discharge teaching
Update patient records
Follow guidelines and polices established by MGH
Communicate with members of the healthcare team
