Job title : General Manager Salary : Starting at $93k - $114k a year, depending on experience + Profit Sharing Schedule : Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm Location : Newberg, Oregon The General Manager is responsible for utilizing the FACE values, mission, and vision as guides to lead employees and reach the yard\'s goals. This is accomplished through servant leadership and managing of the team. This position implements operational strategies and objectives to ensure the yard\'s goals. The manager interacts daily with yard employees, customers, local sales managers, support teams, vendor representatives, and industry associates. Direct report : Reports to the Regional Operations Manager. Qualifications
3 years prior supervisory/management experience Knowledge of management principles, practices, and production methodologies Knowledge of lumber and plywood purchasing principles, practices, and protocols Knowledge of home and commercial construction principles, practices, and protocols Knowledge of the effects of market conditions upon the wood products industry Proficiency with personal computer, smartphone, scanner, and related equipment Typing speed of 30+ WPM Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Class C driver\'s license or reliable alternative transportation Willingness to commute and/or relocate Ability to identify a broad range of building product materials, their grades, tolerances, and application techniques Duties and Responsibilities
Leadership: supervise and direct the workforce at the yard and precut areas; support Truss Manager and Millwork Manager; manage day-to-day activities; promote policy improvements; align with other departments; follow brand standards People Development: set performance expectations; conduct evaluations; cross-train staff; use PARR University; manage new hires and 90-day schedule; build a team-driven environment; provide feedback and recognition; implement career plans Business: enforce policies; achieve profit projections; manage inventory and budgeting; maintain vendor relationships; ensure safety and DOT compliance; participate in inventory programs; support community involvement Safety: conduct investigations; ensure proper PPE and safety protocols; maintain safe working environment; monthly safety committees Communication: respond to customer concerns; promote ideas; set expectations; maintain open, transparent communication Results: maintain brand standards; achieve budget targets; monitor health index and productivity; share metrics; drive employee engagement Direct reports: oversee all hourly and salaried employees at the location Benefits
