Overview

Lead Software Engineer - Python/PySpark/GenAI — JPMorgan Chase, within the Consumer and Community Banking sector. As part of an agile team, you will help enhance, build, and deliver trusted, secure, scalable technology products. Responsibilities

Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to think beyond routine approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems Develops secure, high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others Identifies opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability of software applications and systems Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to probe architectural designs and applicability for use within existing systems Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new technologies Fosters a team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

Formal training or certification in software engineering with 5+ years of applied experience Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability Proficiency in one or more programming languages, including Python and PySpark; experience with Athena, Kafka, data warehousing, ETL, AWS, and GenAI Automation and continuous delivery methods Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle Understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security Experience with technical processes in cloud, AI/ML, or related domains Knowledge of the financial services industry and IT systems Cloud-native practical experience Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
