PAY RANGE
The Target Pay Range for this position is $167,500.00-$204,600.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $129,800.00 - $242,200.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training.

As a Staff Solutions Architect at BECU, you’ll play a pivotal role in transforming how we serve our members by leading the architecture behind our digital and contact center platforms. Your work will directly influence the modernization of our Contact Center as a Service (CCaaS) ecosystem, streamlining tools for agents and enhancing member experiences.

Architect Strategic Solutions: Lead the design and development of scalable, reliable technology solutions that align with BECU’s business and strategic goals. Create Solution Artifacts: Develop conceptual and logical architecture visuals that guide delivery teams and support digital product development. Drive CCaaS Transformation: Provide architectural leadership for the modernization of BECU’s contact center ecosystem, integrating 30–50 disparate applications into a streamlined platform. Support Digital Platforms: Contribute to the rearchitecture of mobile and online banking systems, enhancing member-facing digital experiences. Integrate CRM Systems: Collaborate with retail and marketing teams to support CRM platforms like Pega and drive cross-functional initiatives. Mentor and Guide: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to Solutions Architects and project teams, ensuring alignment with architectural standards. Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with stakeholders in marketing, retail, and contact center operations to align architecture with business capabilities. Engage with Emerging Tech: Participate in vendor demos and discussions around Gen AI, chatbots, and conversational AI tools to inform strategic decisions. Establish Standards: Define and manage domain-specific architecture standards, processes, and constraints across the organization. Champion Innovation: Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement. What You’ll Gain

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Minimum 7 years of experience designing and implementing technology architectures. Experience managing delivery of multiple simultaneous complex technology solutions. Demonstrated experience in cloud native technology including microservice architecture, Restful APIs, scalable designs, and digital platforms. Comprehensive knowledge of technologies and supplier capabilities with large infrastructure/systems implementation. In-depth knowledge of modern technology service architecture including hosting, security, IAM, access control, monitoring, IaaS/PaaS/SaaS, and containers. Familiarity with Microsoft infrastructure and solution stacks in on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments. Deep understanding of Lean/Agile/Scrum methodologies; scaled agile experience such as SAFe. Certification in LEAN, Agile/Scrum, or ITIL principles (highly preferred). Working knowledge of architectural frameworks such as The Open Group, NIST, ISO 19xxx, BizBok, or Gartner. Proven ability to cultivate strong relationships across organizational levels. Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and negotiation skills. Proficient verbal and written communication skills. Strong facilitation and presentation skills. Desired Qualifications
Experience with chatbots, conversational AI, and orchestration tools. Familiarity with CRM platforms like Pega. Prior work in banking, retail commerce, or other domains with external-facing digital systems. Hands-on experience with front-end frameworks and building member-facing applications.
