Overview
RealmOne is seeking a DevOps Engineer 3 with Security Clearance. The program aims to maximize effectiveness of the country\'s missions and offers work/life balance, benefits, flexible schedules, paid training, mentoring, and collaboration with industry professionals. This role supports development lifecycle, platform design, deployment, and operations for government programs. Responsibilities
Support the development life cycle of platform architectural design, deployment, and debugging. Build release pipelines to enable fast, but safe delivery of critical business software to production. Develop and maintain sound version control practices (GIT), including branching and merging strategies. Serve as a technical lead for an Agile team and participate in all Agile ceremonies (planning, grooming, product demonstration, retrospectives). Automate release deployments across development, test, staging, QA, and production using scripting languages and automation toolkits. Set up new sites and applications via configuration management (Puppet, Ansible). Maintain and upgrade/patch tracking and documentation software (Confluence / Jira). Create, assist, and implement design and maintenance of web service infrastructure and deployments. Analyze service stack and recommend improvements; identify processes and capabilities for automation. Communicate effectively to bridge stakeholder and development requirements; assist with support and operations as necessary. Maintain confidentiality of information processed, stored, or accessed. Leverage programming languages such as Python, Ruby, Perl, and Java; proficient in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering methodologies. Automate network infrastructure configuration using Software Defined Networking; maintain a holistic view of service development and deployment architecture. Understand SLA requirements, high availability architectures, performance optimization, and monitoring techniques. Support deployment and operations when necessary. Set up and configure a continuous integration environment with configuration management, containerization, serverless technologies, and Kubernetes. Architect and develop best practices for software build tools (Gradle, Maven, ANT, Shell) and CI tools (Jenkins, Bamboo); manage infrastructure automation (AWS, VMware, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, etc.). Collaborate across multiple teams to deliver results. Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree or higher in Engineering (e.g., Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace) or Computer Science. A minimum of ten (10) years of related experience (excluding education). Active Security Clearance with appropriate polygraph is required. Strong knowledge of Linux environments (RHEL 6/7/8+), Windows system administration, monitoring, instrumentation, resiliency and performance. Experience with Jenkins/Bamboo, Docker, and Kubernetes for automated deployment (preferred). Experience with caching technologies (Memcached, Redis, etc.). Experience with MySQL (Clusters, Replication, Tuning) and Elasticsearch; knowledge of security practices, networking, firewalls, PCI compliance. 10+ years of system architecture experience with ability to read code and troubleshoot. 10+ years of AWS cloud and virtualized server management in a PaaS environment. Familiarity with SDLC models, agile, and DevOps methodologies. Fluent in OO programming with experience in at least one language (Ruby, C, C++, Go, Python, Java). Experience understanding large complex software systems, defect isolation, risk assessment, and varied deployments. Strong communication, problem solving, and technical troubleshooting skills.
